Spring Recitals 2021

Student Recitals take place Saturday, May 15 both in-person and virtually. Please find the information that pertains specifically to your event on this post. 

Appropriate Performance Attire (applies to both in-person and virtual)

Students must dress appropriately for their performance. This means no jeans. No athletic shoes. No boots. Boys: dress pants or khakis, button down or collared polo style shirt. Girls: dress, skirt, or dress pants. CHECK SKIRT LENGTH WHILE SITTING! It is recommended that skirt/dress is at least the knee while standing. It will be shorter when sitting, so please be sure to double check!!

In-Person Recital

Lover's Lane United Methodist Church

Shipp Chapel 

Dallas, TX

Please plan to arrive no more than 15 minutes ahead for parking and seating. We will begin promptly at 10:30 AM. Unfortunately, warm-ups on the stage piano will not be available. There will not be a reception, and guest will be asked to file out of the building at the conclusion of the recital (no mingling and talking in the recital venue, please). Per Covid restrictions, the church is requesting the following:

  • Attendees be seated in alternating rows, with one empty row between each seated row
  • All attendees over the age of 2 must wear face masks
  • 3 guests allowed per student performing
  • Related family members may sit together, please space apart from one family to the next
  • Students will sit with their parents instead of student performance order

Occupancy is limited, and we are asking that you please strictly adhere to inviting no more than 3 guests per student (this includes yourself as well). We will also live stream the event via Facebook Live. Anyone can access the link (not just those who are on Facebook).

Virtual Recital ZOOM

Saturday, May 15, 2:00 PM

Please submit your student videos no later than Thursday, May 13. A video upload link will be sent separately from this email. Pieces for performance must be approved by the student's teacher. If a student has been approved to perform two pieces, please record the two pieces in one take. 

The performance viewing will take place on Saturday, May 15 in two groups -- starting at 2:00 and 2:30 PM. Students will be assigned to one of the two groups. Families and friends are invited to attend. You may send the Zoom link to as many friends and family as you'd like!
